Christmas 2011

Note to self:  When you wake up for Christmas Mornign PUT FIRST THINGS FIRST!  Must feed the child before opening presents.  I get it.  We always made a casserole the night before Christmas to eat on Christmas morning.  I knew my family did this I just did not know why.  All was going really well.  Sage woke up and opened his stocking.   He thinks that is the only part that Santa really delivers for some reason.  Maybe becasue he helped to wrap all of the presents, and the only thing new when he woke up was the stockings being filled.  Little guy is quite observant.  After we left the beer for Santa, I was in his room reading books and let out a big belch.  Sage: "Mommy where did that come from?"

I don't know Sage?  Hee hee hee.

We had a great time leading up to Christmas with his Elf Crackernut that was sent to us from Santa.  Somehow I do not think I got a picture of the little rascal before he flew back to Santa.

Thanks you Santa.  I love Cooper the Scooper!

Check me out Tia Sam and Uncle Joe... I am rocking my new guitar!

Wow Spiderman head to toe.

Thansk GG for the new glow and the dark coloring set.

Well it has not snowed here in some time!  Last snow Sage and I built this really fun snowman.  We are hoping for some more to fall our way.  We would also like to do some powder skiing.  Here we are on opening day!

Christmas is right around the corner!

Traditions are fun!  Sage and I decorated the the day after Thanksgiving.  we have been doing this since Sage was born.  I think this is what my family has done this since I was a kid.  Sage really got into it this year.

In our house we do Advent Calendars.  Gg made sage one out of Scrapbooking materials.  I made him one like I used when I was a kid.  Uncle Sven.... Lar's brother brought him one from Germany.  This turns out to be his favorite because it is filled with Milka Chocolote.

We started a new tradition this year.  We open a new Christmas book each night for the 25 days of advent.  Sage still has not figured out the presents each night are books.

We went to the annual Christmas Holiday Bizarre.  Sage and I picked out  a new Santa for our collection, wrote Santa a letter, and growled at Santa all in one weekend.

Nna and the New SWEATER

Sage is lucky to have a new sweater from Nana.  It is difficult to get the sizing right when Sage lives 9 hours away.  Maybe Nana should just move closer.
